Our tour went very well and we cannot say enough good things about Rachid. Not only was he a careful driver and always there when he said he would be but he was also very knowledgeable and informative. We were lucky enough to spend three days in Rabat and Casablanca prior to our pickup by Rachid who was there even before our appointed time.
We learned a great deal about the country, its history, its economy, its political structure and its current place in the world and North Africa which was tremendously interesting. Since I lived in California for 30 years the drives through the countryside were disorienting as it is exactly the same, with the notable exception of towns of course. I should not have been surprised since both places have classic Mediterranean climates but I was.
Despite the 150 stairs, the hotel in Chefchaouen was lovely and eating meals on the terrace overlooking the town was wonderful. Volubilis was terrific as was our guide (and I have been to my fair share of Roman ruins). I am far less enthusiastic about the riad in Fes, Riad Myra, which I found claustrophobic with poor lighting in the room, mediocre food and indifferent service, with the exception of Ibrahim (this was the exception to generally warm and helpful reception we encountered everywhere else). I also found the restaurant referral on our second night in Fes at a nearby restaurant unsatisfactory. The service was attentive but the food was subpar. Fes itself and its famous medina were fascinating. The Maison Arabe in Marrakech was lovely as was the food and service. We also enjoyed every minute of our time in the city and had another wonderful guide.
Your company’s service from the start has been 5* and I particularly appreciated your responsiveness and the fact that Jill found us in Fes to enquirer about how the trip was going. Thank you for your help and flexibility. I would gladly recommend your company to others. As for photos, Kelii, my traveling companion took many in each location and posted them on Instagram under her open handle, Producerkelli. I am sure she would not mind your using any.
