Where do I begin to tell you what a wonderful experience it was for all of us? Many of the ladies were skeptical about why I choose Morocco but soon changed their minds. The culture, the food and more importantly, the people were all wonderful. I would return in a heart beat!
The riads were magnificent and would suggest staying only in riads. They were decorated in true Moroccan style, warm, inviting and spotless. We were treated like royalty. Many of the rooms had fireplaces, there rose pedals on the beds and in the bathrooms and the staff was truly outstanding.
I think for many of us the highlight was the camel ride into desert and our night in the Berber tent. We never laughed so much; it was like we were kids again. We agreed that if seven of us, all senior citizens, can ride a camel into the Sahara desert and sleep in a tent WELL, our lives have just begun and we can go anywhere and do anything. One of the ladies is 76 years old and we were told she was the second oldest to take the camel ride into the desert. We are anxious to start planning our next adventure. Our guide Mohammed was wonderful and quickly understood our sense of humor and laughed at us and along with us.
You asked how we enjoyed our guides; they were extremely pleasant and informative. The tour of the souks was quickly passing through each area and no time to stop and look around. Eventually, we did take time on our own to visit the souks and do some shopping – it was great fun.
All in all it was a wonderful, exciting trip and I would truly recommend it to anyone. Morocco Tours were outstanding and helped us immensely. You are a great group of people with so much knowledge and experience of this magnificent country. We look forward to traveling with you again.
