“Well worth the visit…”

The Morocco part of of our trip was an excellent experience. The 16 Day itinerary you arranged for us was just right and we were able to cover well the highlights of Morocco. I’m glad we added Essaouira – well worth the visit. Chefchaouen was delightful even though I couldn’t manage the walking tour on the day we were there. Sandra thoroughly enjoyed it but she found that the length of the walk with all the steps and the mountain was a bit too much in the heat (over 40 degrees on the day). She returned exhausted but recovered quickly. However, to experience the magnificent “Blue” of the buildings will be remembered forever.

All other towns/cities and their highlights were well worth experiencing. The Medina in Fes was fascinating and we are delighted with a small unique Moroccan table and French bronze statuette we acquired from an antique shop there.

The Sahara and camels will never be forgotten. We would have appreciated prior advice to have appropriate head covering to protect us from the sand storm we experienced while on the camels. As opposed to staying in a hotel style Kasbah in Erfoud the visit to a real one which housed 10,000 and the hospitality of the village elder was unique. Being entertained in a family home and having our feet washed and cooled in a dish of cold water is very memorable.

Marrakech also has special memories. The visit to the wonderful Majorelle Garden and dinner at a barbeque stall in the Jemaa el-Fna square of the Medina were absolute highlights

The accommodations throughout were all excellent and we especially liked the Riad Fes, La Berbere Palace and Riad Kniza.

Our driver, Younes, was extremely good, safe and reliable. He was a very pleasant and likeable young man.

Our Morocco trip was wonderful. Thank you so much for organising it for us. We have no hesitation in recommending “Morocco Tours”/ExperienceIt! Tours to others.

All the best,

Peter & Sandra (Australia), August 2012
