Thank you so much for helping us organize such a wonderful trip. From the start to the finish, we were very happy with how well taken care of we were, and how organized and seamless the transitions from one day to the next were. The itinerary that you helped us arrange, based on our preferences, worked out perfectly. We felt that we had a nice mixture of the cities and countrysides of Morocco. From the breathtaking mosque in Casablanca to Chefchaouen to the Sahara desert to the snow-capped Atlas mountains to the medina of Marrakech, we got a small taste of what this amazing country has to offer. Our only regret is that we did not have more time there!
The most important thing that made the trip unforgettable was our AMAZING driver, Adil. Our vehicle was comfortable and clean. There was always an adequate supply of bottled water each day. He was very accommodating, personable, prompt, and knowledgable about the history of Morocco. Adil enjoyed sharing with us the culture and customs of the Moroccan people along with teaching us some Arabic phrases. On top of it all, he is very FUNNY! His sense of humor made us smile and laugh almost every minute of our trip! By the end, he felt like family. It was sad to say goodbye to him.
The local guides at each city were also knowledgable, professional, and funny. We received a lot of information about each monument or site, and laughed all along the way. We loved our guide Moustafa in Chefchaouen. We had an amazing day walking around and exploring the blue city with him. And, how could we forget Feta in Fes and Mohammed in Marrakech? All excellent!
All of the Riads that were booked for us were beautiful and comfortable. They all provided impeccable service. All the lodging choices were impressive and you were right about sticking with Riad Adore in Marrakech. It was so peaceful and tranquil!
Overall, we were very happy with the meals on our trip! The restaurant at Chefchaouen offered us great food, nice views, and impeccable service. The dinner at Riad Myra was delicious, and the service there was outstanding. One of our nights in Fes, we had dinner at a riad that was run by Adil’s friend, which was also very tasty. The food and accommodations at the desert camp was top notch – very impressive! We also enjoyed the Berber barbecue as we headed to Marrakech!
It is hard to choose a favorite memory from the trip. However, the one thing that will stick with me is our time in the desert. From the camel rides to the sand dunes to dancing around the campfire with our 4×4 driver – it was truly something special. It was unforgettable to sit on the sand and gaze up at the stars in the darkness of the Sahara with my friends.
