It was a wonderful trip! It was, truly, another world. I have traveled a lot, but never to an Arabic country before; and it was very, very different from other places I have visited. I found Moroccans to have a natural dignity, and to be quite self-possessed. They also have a great sense of humor, and love to tease. The sights I saw were marvelous, and quite stunning.
Hicham was a WONDERFUL driver. The first 2 days I was ready to cover my eyes every few seconds while we were on the road, experiencing what seemed to be utter chaos in Moroccan traffic, but it didn’t take long for me to have complete confidence in Hicham’s driving, and I felt completely comfortable sitting in the front seat. He was VERY professional and safe in his driving, and also very solicitous of my wishes and well-being. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him as driver.
I absolutely would recommend Morocco Tours. You were very responsive to my myriad questions, and didn’t seem to mind them at all. Your advice was excellent, and I think between the sights I wanted to see, and your time allotted to see them worked out quite well.
The high point, without doubt, was Djemaa el Fna. It was a 5-ring circus from 800 years ago, happening in the 21st century! From the snake charmers to the belly dancing by men-disguised-as-women, with the orange juice stands, and the hordes of people [Moroccans + every tourist in Marrakech], it was AMAZING!
Morocco Tours did an outstanding job with arranging my tour in Morocco. Given the time frame, I was able to see pretty much everything that I had hoped, without feeling rushed. I still had the time to explore on my own, and do a little shopping.
