Thought I’d give you a bit of feedback now that we are back home after our wonderful trip.
Ahmed was fabulous. He is knowledgeable, punctual, and an all around good person. We cannot imagine that any other driver would have been so terrific. I could go on and on but I trust you already know this. But if you’d like us to write more, just say the word.
The itinerary worked out very well. We think the only tour we missed was of the Hassan Mosque and that was due to our late flight and the Mosque cancelling tours on our last day.
Hakim, our guide in Fes was excellent as well. We liked his style, his information, tour etc. We were pleased to have a few extra hours with him our “free day” in Fes.
We were disappointed in our guide in Marrakech, Nuri. Perhaps it was his cold but he had little energy, never seemed interested in learning what we wanted to do. He was not rude – he just was not very good. Hopefully you can locate better guides for future groups.
Most of the places we stayed we thought were terrific. I think we all thought Riad Kniaza is the best run of the set; Riad Fes is gorgeous and Villa Mandarine is a place to visit to relax for far longer. We were less enthusiastic about the Xaluca hotel in Erfoud – mainly the personnel at the desk were rude and when we called with a request, there was no follow-up. In contrast our driver of the 4 wheel vehicle to the desert was excellent. Our only truly disappointing meal was in the last RIad In Essouria. We were the only guests that evening and the food was uninteresting. With all the nice restaurants in that city we would have preferred to eat out both evenings.
But these are the only things we would change if we had full knowledge in advance. Our trip was spectacular – we loved it. Fascinating country you live in. We are pleased we spent an extra day in Fes, it really is the most interesting so you have chosen quite a place to live. Thanks again to Experience It.
