Morocco is THE place to visit, and Morocco Tours is THE way to do it! Deciding to visit Morocco was easy, but we quickly realized planning this on our own would likely not afford us the experience we hoped for. And once we read about the itineraries, accommodations and level of service Morocco Tours offers we were thrilled to put ourselves in their very capable hands. They were always quick to respond and provided valued information regarding all aspects of the tour, we knew what to expect and were well prepared.
From the time we landed in Morocco our driver Kamal felt like a fourth family member, but much more accommodating! His superb command of English, his love for and vast knowledge of his country, both past and present, and his desire to provide the very best of authentic experiences made for a memorable exploration of Morocco. Kamal ensured we were comfortable, safe and prepared for each amazing day – our drives were filled with great conversation and humor as we were awed by the ever-changing landscape around us. He anticipated our every need (or just added something unexpected and welcomed) and was patient and good natured every step of the way, he was professional but quick to provide extra care and understanding as well. Along the way he added stops at a pharmacist, grocery store, ATM’s, a camel milk purveyor, numerous toilets, and he even stopped to let us see a donkey pulling a cart with a solar panel to charge the cell phone of a sheep herder. So many memorable moments the four of us shared, we will always think of Morocco and Kamal as one.

The Morocco Tours itinerary was excellent, with numerous amazing sites to visit as we travelled between overnight stops. We loved the various accommodations, especially the elegant riads in Fes and Marrakech and the beautiful ‘tents’ in the Sahara. Fes was our favorite stop, and our guide for the medina was exceptional, Thomei truly brought the history and culture of Fes and of Morocco to life and he demonstrated a great respect and appreciation for the purveyors and artisans in the souk. The food in Morocco was amazing, and we were encouraged to try many variations of traditional Moroccan dishes – and we highly recommend opting for the cooking class in Marrakech, we are now ready and equipped to make a tagine at home! And while there is an overall schedule for the tour, it is flexible according to your desires and you have time to explore on your own.
Not having the worry of logistics, reservations, meals and other travel details allowed for us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty and contrasts of the country, its history, its culture and its people, this was an experience we will treasure always.
