All went well with the tour. Driss was a very good driver and very friendly, thoughtful, and helpful. A fine person and very representative of their culture. The guides in Fes and Chefchaouen were great too. And the one in Volubilis was both extremely knowledgeable and quite funny. I appreciated Driss’ accommodation on the pick up day. He arrived a little early and took me out on a drive by the Atlantic – the C ap and the caves – before picking up my brother and his family.
Both Riad accommodations were excellent. The pool in Fes was great at the end of the day. We felt almost over fed with the two big meals each day though I was relieved to find I had not gained weight. The best Tagine we had was prepared the night of our arrival at our Riad in Fes. We particularly loved Chefchaouen. Beautiful, pretty easy to navigate. The big square at night was magical, particularly as we were there, eating at a roof top café with a full moon. We loved seeing the waterfall area where so many women were washing and drying their rugs. We went on a climb late the second day outside the wall, up to the road above, and around the top of the Medina wall. Fes was completely different but amazing. The most striking experiences there were overseeing the dying vats for the leather and seeing the detailed pottery and mosaic factory though the Medina itself was fascinating. I also loved Meknes – its grandeur and majesty.
Yes, I would definitely recommend Morocco Tours. I like that you are a small company and that you specialize in Morocco and the Mahgreb. I enjoyed working with you in the preparation.
