“Excellent from beginning to end!”

Our experience of your company was excellent from beginning to end – from tailoring our tour for our specific needs, processing the booking and payment to sending documents – all was done professionally and efficiently and we really felt like we were dealing with an experienced and knowledgeable tour operator.

On arrival in Casablanca we were met by Yousef who understood exactly what we needed – sleep! He took us straight to our hotel and let us get a good few hours rest. The Palace d’Anfa was probably the only hotel that was a bit disappointing. Our room had not been finished being made up and we asked for extra pillows which never came despite trying to phone reception and housekeeping constantly all evening. The service in the bar was slow and the prices were exorbitant! Service in the restaurant was good but the food was mediocre. However, what we really wanted was a clean bed to sleep in we were only there for one night so it was OK.

Yousef took us on a tour around Casablanca and showed us all the sites – including the most impressive mosque which really was the start of a string of amazing things were to see and experience over the next 2 weeks. Yousef was fantastic – he really understood who we were and what we were interested in – he took us to amazing little local restaurants and BBQ villages for some delicious lunches – it helps travelling in Morocco with an ex-butcher!
He was interesting to talk to and told us so much about the country. He really made our trip something special.

The Dar we stayed in in Chefchaouen was also lovely – beautiful views, comfortable, friendly staff – really great!

The Riad Jouhara in Fes was really super – the room was gorgeous and spacious and the staff were so delightful. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy and the food was EXCELLENT! It was also so well located and so easy to get into the souks and near all amenities.

Fes was probably the best experience of our trip – we ended up preferring it to Marakesh! An undoubted highlight was our day spent with Ali as our guide around the medina and to the ceramic co-op and Mellah. Ali was an absolute fountain of knowledge, he told us so many interesting facts we were desperate we were going to forget it all. He was so kind and considerate to my Mom and made sure they found her a chair to sit on everywhere we went. He helped us in the shops and we felt we really could trust his judgement. He really was a lovely man and an excellent guide!

We were lucky enough to catch the International Date Festival in Erfoud and Yousef was kind enough to take us there. It was so interesting! Our camel experience was fanatastic! What fun! The camp we stayed in was also lovely with very attentive staff and a feast of food!

The experience of the palmeries, Kasbahs and scenery whilst driving was really quite remarkable – every day on this tour we saw something completely different to the day before – this trip was a feast for the senses!

The Xaluca hotel we stayed in in Dades was definitely one of the nicest hotels we stayed in and it was great to have a swim and relax by the pool and just have a bit of time to chill!

Travelling through the Atlas mountains on our last day on the way to Marakesh was also unforgettable! What spectacular beauty!

Once again Yousef went out of his way to accommodate us by taking us to the supermarket before dropping us at our Hotel in Marakesh even though he had a new tour starting and had to pick up clients at the airport at 8.30pm and it was already 6.30pm and I am sure he really just wanted an hour or two to relax. But he was wonderful! He also arranged to take Mom and I to a restaurant in Marakesh on the night his next group were eating in the Riad and he was free. We really appreciated all he did for us!

Our only disappointment was the guide we arranged to take us on the tour of the Medina and souks in Marakesh, Nori. He arrived an hour late and seemed really distracted chatting on his phone most of the time. My Mom decided she wasn’t up for more walking and so I went him, but perhaps we had been so spoiled with Ali in Fes, but I was disappointed! He did apologise for spending so much time on the phone saying his wife was having trouble at work. After two hours we made our way back to my Mom and I said we could end it there. But this really was a small disappointment in an overall wonderful experience!

All-in-all it was an amazing, unforgettable trip made all the better by Experience IT! Tour’s slick and professional modus operandi!

Thank you very much and we will without doubt recommend you to anyone we know travelling to Morocco!

Kind regards
