I thought I would write to you to let you know that the recent trip I booked with your company & experienced with my Mother was wonderful. I wanted you to know that Namir Mohamed (our driver & guide) is an absolute asset to your company. His affection & loyalty to your company & dedication in making sure his clients needs are met & that they experience a fantastic, safe trip are outstanding. I have been working within the tourism & hospitality industry for around 15 years & know how valuable and rare people such as Namir are in this industry.
We enjoyed all of the places we visited, from seeing first hand the intricate, amazing Medina in Fes, the stunning drive through the wondrous Atlas Mountains to finally experiencing the fascinating & magical Sahara Desert (I still can’t believe there was a flushing toilet & basin in the tent!) Two of our favourite experiences were when Namir took us to meet & share tea with a nomadic family & of course, experiencing the Sahara – waking up & hearing the camels arrive then trekking out to watch the sunrise was unforgettable – it has been a lifetime dream of mine.
All of the hotels we stayed in were lovely & diverse. The people of Morocco were more than friendly to us & the local guides we met along the way were both knowledgeable & helpful, grateful mention to Hakim in Fes who helped us carry our shopping!
I must mention that after I had booked our trip back in January this year, my mother was called into hospital for open heart surgery, she underwent two heart operations in April this year & it was touch & go whether we would be able to go through with our trip. Fortunately, my mum is strong & determined & recovered well & with the doctors advice, was told to ‘go for it’. I told Namir of my mums situation when we arrived & he was so understanding & kind to her, not to mention that he drove like a saint for the whole trip, that my mum has taken him on as her ‘second’ son. I will forever be grateful to Namir for helping my mum have an unforgettable holiday.
From our first contact email with Kit in the USA to our last, sad farewell with Namir, we have been treated with kindness & respect. You have a wonderful group of people to work with & I am happy I found such genuine warmth.
