We are back from our wonderful vacation and want to give you a big thanks for setting up a great trip for us. Khalid is an excellent driver, treated us like family and was a valued window into the cultures we encountered. We felt safe, cared for, lucky to have the time to see so much and learn so much. We’re encouraging all our friends to visit Morocco.
–we loved the riads, both for their elegance and for the people we met their, owners and fellow guests. All the benefits of a B&B plus the character of a rich and very different esthetic.
–Chefchaouen is so charming, a manageable size, a good introduction to wandering around an old city area on our own. Love Dar Meziana and Abdsalam as our half day guide!
–the Fes cooking class was great fun. Our chef was a hoot!
–Khalid’s efforts to get us to Midelt via Ifrane were impressive. He put in a very long day driving in terrible conditions and heavy traffic, never lost his cool and kept us safe. Your in-country people managed the necessary re-housing and re-routing without drama, so, while were disappointed to have the weather block us from some things we wanted to see, it was great to have someone smoothly taking care of solving the logistical issues.
–Le Clos des Arts in Marrakech is a gem. Massimo and Giorgina are the most helpful and welcoming hosts I can recall. They know how to help people have a good experience without insulating them from everything. He spent an hour with us when we first arrived, making suggestions, listening to us.
–also really enjoyed Riad the Repose in Sale. Great food, warm welcome from hostess. The market in Sale was the least touristy of them all.
–I loved the mountain towns: Ourika and Imlil and the guided walks we took in both places. The views in Imlil will remain with me for a long time. Really enjoyed the contrast between the dozens of waterside restaurants in Ourika and the quiet of Imlil.
Hotel Timoulay in Agadir gave us a giant suite, really relaxing.
Riad Mimouna is a beautiful place in a great location. Thanks for putting us there!
