It is taking us some time to process our experiences during the 11 magical days in Morocco. First and foremost Ryad was a wonderful guide! Knowledgeable about history, agriculture, local politics, geography, local dinning plus a terrific sense of humor. The location specific guides in the medinas and markets were very good. Each one well informed and easy to communicate with.
The hotels were great, particularly the Riads. We have some friends who were in Morocco for a tour in September. They stayed in slick, modern European places and the experience was a real disappointment for them. We’ll never forget Mike’s birthday dinner at Riad Fes.
We probably all would agree our camel ride for the sunset in the desert and the night in camp was the most magical. The stars, the campfire, the Berber musicians truly memorable.
We shopped ‘till we dropped, ate the excellent Moroccan food ‘till we nearly burst, felt cared for and welcomed each step of the way.
The half board structure is perfect, the pre-trip information was clear and helpful. Particularly the guidance on photography and the suggested reading list. I took a cooking class at Maison Arabe that was very cool, you might offer cooking school on future tours.
The day trip to Essaouira was the right choice. We wouldn’t have missed “goats in trees” for anything. Thank you so much for helping us know your beautiful country a little better.
We will recommend you guys to any and everyone that asks!
Melissa & Mike.
