Forbes Museum in Tangier
The Forbes Museum was originally established by Malcolm Forbes, an American billionaire and was handed to the Moroccan government when he died in 1990. The museum is dedicated to military battles with fantastic exhibitions including a 115,000 model soldier exhibition complete with sounds and lights. There are also over five hundred statues to explore.
Museum of Moroccan Arts in Tangier
This museum is set in a former palace located within the Medina walls and offers a fantastic selection of artworks including tiles, copper, leather and brass. This museum is worth the visit when visiting the Tangier area.
Dar Jamai Museum in Meknes
This museum is based in a nineteenth century residence surrounded by magnificently landscaped gardens and offers a selection of artefacts including interested wrought iron collections, as well as ceramics and leather goods.
Majorelle Museum and Gardens in Marrakech
The Majorelle Museum and Gardens was designed by French artist Jacques Majorelle. The gardens are a peaceful place to wander around through the landscaped beauty and you can also explore the museum making a day of the outing.
The Marrakech Museum can be found in Dar M’Nebhi Palace and offers beautifully decorated rooms, spectacular mosaics and impressive pillars. There is a wide selection of artefacts letting you step back in time and soak up the history of this country’s past.
